Wednesday : 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Sunday from 11:00 AM to noon we will attend the main service in the main auditorium.

Class Goal:
Our primary goal for the class is to teach students how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and how to live for him.

Messages from Pastor:

"Oh, Be Careful Little Tongue What You Say . . ."

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to
speak, slow to wrath
(James 1:19).

Most of us, more often than not, talk about various things and other persons
that become inappropriate, damaging, and have God's disapproval. We say
things that are absolutely unnecessary.

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain (James 1:26).

Here are THREE GUIDELINES for the distribution of information, when you are in private conversation with friends (or adversaries), or when you are
teaching and/or preaching, etc.:
1. Is the information TRUE?
2. Is the information KIND?
3. Is the information NECESSARY?

Because Christians still have that old, sinful nature, anything beyond these
guidelines usually degenerates into gossip. Where no wood is, there the fire
goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth
(Proverbs
26:20).

Use Your Words to Glorify God in Praise.
Use Your Words to Edify Others.
Use Your Words to Win the Lost to Christ.

"PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED"

What are you allowing your children to view? The movie and television industry discredits almost all of your moral standards and Biblical principles!

Take "MTV" for example. This widely followed television channel has a powerful anti-Christian influence on children of all ages. The boast of one producer on MTV is chilling and telling: "In MTV we don't shoot for the 14 year olds . . . we own them!" A report published by the Barna Research Group found "Christian baby busters (42%) were more likely to watch MTV during the week than were non-Christian busters (33%)." The MTV channel reflects hatred for the family and family values, that youth are totally in control of their own lives, and that there are no absolutes of right and wrong. MTV proudly promotes the carnal nature of all forms of promiscuity (fornication, adultery, homosexuality). For parents, particularly Christian parents, to ignore MTV is moral irresponsibility. Even those who may have had this channel dropped from the cable programming should be reminded that children denied MTV can watch it next door. Because of MTV's immense influence on all children, it is important that we understand what it represents.

FACT: One hour a week in Sunday School will not negate a dozen hours of MTV.
