Mother's Day, 2008
… the unfeigned faith … which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice. (2 Tim 1:5)
Timothy had given the fullest proof of the sincerity of his conversion by the purity (unfeigned) of his faith. Paul, in mentioning Timothy’s grandmother and mother passes by Timothy’s father in silence (either the father remained in his unconverted state, was not in the home, or was deceased). Lois, the grandmother, appears to have been the first in the family to convert to Christianity: she instructed her daughter Eunice, and both brought up Timothy in the Christian faith. Instruction precedes conversion. To be brought up in the fear of God is a great advantage; and for a child to have a godly home education is a reward of infinite worth!

BIBLICAL PARENTING (continued)
Taught by Pastor & Nita
What is Parental Responsibility?
… to educate the generation to come!(Psalm 78)
We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done … That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children … That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments. (v. 4, 6, 7)
There can be hope, even if parents fail their responsibility … children need not be like their stubborn / rebellious parents! And [they] might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. (v. 8)
This is the reason we heavily invest in the lives of youngsters by having a separatist Church, a bus ministry, a Sunday School, a Vacation Bible School, and summer camps!
HARVESTER’S LUNCHEON
Tuesday, May 20, 11:30 AM
This is a time for all our senior citizens to enjoy good eats and good fellowship.
As our dear saints prepare and bring one of their favorite dishes, we will share a wonderful time together!
WHAT VERSION OF THE BIBLE DOES OUR CHURCH USE?
New Testament Baptist Church uses only the Authorized King James Version (KJV) of God's Word. This is the text that God has preserved to reach English-speaking people for the last 400 years! Free copies of the Bible are available before each message. Thought: "The Bible doesn’t need to be rewritten nor revised … it needs to be reread and obeyed! "
